Lessons from the Trenches
Rich Dozer and Mike Garnreiter, Directors of Knight-Swift Transportation, will share the lessons they have learned while engaged in the historic merger of these two local public companies. There are many potential issues in M&A - cultural mismatch, redundant positions, increased complexity in management, etc. Their experiences will help directors navigate the legal and business considerations, and offer practical guidance on the board's role in efficiently and effectively providing oversite and guidance to management.
